Okay
the question on everyone's lips, will these guys
be one hit wonders? Based on what i've heard live
and at their website (www.theandroids.com), i think
there's some more tricks up their sleeves past this
song, i doubt i need to review it because i'm sure
everyone has heard it by now...
The
included BSides aren't really anything special (disapointly
so), "Gone" is a punk rocker, but lacking the attitude
that the single gives off. Whilst the guitar work
on the instrumental track "Overdose" is good, one
can't help but think it would be best suited to
the background music of a Wide World of Sports Wild
Winter Weekend Promo). "Inside Out" is more like
it, it sounds like it could easily evolve into a
Superjesus song, it just has that undeniable feel
to it and is easily the next best song on the release.
These
guys will have a nice career, because there's substance
behind the joke, but i feel that for the most part
the songs on this single equate to a bit of spring
cleaning. The Madonna song is catchy and clever
but I eagerly await the next offering.
