On
the Fauves official website (www.thefauves.com)
you'll find a rather humourous (and at times bitingly
bitter and brutally honest) discography. From what
they've listed it seems that this single will never
see an official release, which is a shame because
"Good Times Coming" is a rather good song.
Probably
more than any other aussie band in recent memory,
The Fauves have fallen victim to being an intelligent
band in a market that thrives on easily digestible,
minimum effort music. That has left them with the
label of difficult, which is an unfortunate tag
for such a talented band to wear. I'll admit to
being a fan, and perhaps a little biased but i still
believe the Fauves have something to offer anyone
who's willing to put in the effort.
The
3 accompanying BSides are all worth a listen, and
would fit comfortably on any Fauves release, they
all have that Fauves vibe about them completely
unique and a sarcastic humour to boot, is "When
the Tour Went Pro" really an ode to the green green
grass of golfing fairways or is there a hidden message,
give it a chance i'm sure you'll see what i mean.
Tracklisting:
