'The Hole In Your Roof' by Augie March Tabbed by Ryan Grljusich Apologies to those who saw the last one put up that was half finished, my bad, attached the wrong half finished file. That would have looked really stupid, most of the chord names were wrong and half the song was someone else's tab. This is my favourite Augie March song, it's hard to describe why it is so good - the chord changes, that 'ambience', the melancholy mood - whatever. All I know it was an absolute pr#ck to tab. Once I found out it was in open E tuning though it was easy to get something that sounded quite OK. I'd be fairly certain this aint the way Augie play it (they are good like that), but it sounds pretty good when I play it. There's two guitars, I think the quieter fuzzier one just plays F# for the first two verses (i think) before joining in with the below chords. The other plays the chords below the whole way. I've muted the notes on some chords, they sound slightly better to my ear, or maybe that was just because the guitar was not in tune. Decide for yourself. I've named the chords very basically too. I'm pretty sure the 'hole in your roof' hook chords aren't 100%, any other suggestions?? Any comments, suggestions or whatever rdgrilla@hotmail.com.
